I am very passionate about giving back and helping both students and early career professionals. I've benefited so much from mentorship in my career and I also know how tough it can be starting out trying to find that first job, or even figure out what it is you want to do.
That is why it is always a goal for me to participate in anything I can - as simple as replying to Linkedin messages, helping new hires in work and all the way to webinars and presentations.

Maynooth University student presentation
I was invited back to my alma mater, Maynooth University, to speak to current 3rd year students about my education and career journey as well as life @ IBM and the roles we are currently hiring for.
The presentation was about 30 minutes long but the most impactful part was the following hour I spent speaking to students 1-1. They had lots of questions and were very engaged.
This directly lead to over 30 applications to our intern and graduate roles, with at least 2 people hired. (I know because I met them in the office!)
Figma AI & Make Tips, Tricks & Demos
I was a speaker at an IBM winning products enablement series, internal for design, developers and PMs at IBM. Sharing tips for using Figma Make in your design process and some real demos.

It is a combination of a testimonial of the diploma I completed, along with my webinar that I gave and a mini interview I did too.
This is to both share my amazing experience but also to help students and career switchers.

University career fairs
I've also been to multiple career fairs to represent my company (both IBM and US Bank).
These are half day events set up on campus for students to come learn about the company, our roles, us and to ask any question they may have. They are tiring but extremely worthwhile and fulfilling days.
