Part III: The Beginning of the End

I know how deadly a storm can be and from its very first breeze, this storm was unlike any other. What I saw was a distressed sailor pleading for shelter, or so I thought.

From the second the man stepped in the door I witnessed a side to Anne that she had never exposed to us before. She grew infatuated with the man; I could see it in her eyes.

The pair of them seemed to spend every waking moment together. This did concern me, but I figured he would be gone once his ship was repaired.

The way my dearest Anne looked at him like she refused to acknowledge anyone else when he was in the room. I will forever have that look engraved in the memory.

She was hooked on him like he had cast a spell over her. Looking back now, that notion does not seem so farfetched.

Is it possible that this really was true love
