My former self would agree with you without any further thought. I believed melancholy to be permanent, but my thoughts on this soon transformed.
As I tried drifting off to sleep, I was disrupted by the sound of raindrops thrashing upon my window.
I could hear the whistle of the waves travelling through the sea breeze as they crashed upon the rocky coast.
Can't you hear that?

Nature’s chaos reached my ear so vividly it was intrusive, yet it was not the storm that disturbed my sleep.
WHEN SUDDENLY.....
The turbulent atmosphere from outside was soon overlooked as I lay eyes on the stranger my father welcomed into our home.

...I was awoken by three distinctive knocks on our front door.
