You should. Any pessimist would dismiss destiny, wishful thinking they might say. However, I’m here to prove you wrong.
I was mesmerised by his presence. As soon as he entered our home his eyes were locked in sight with mine. The storm outside was so severe he was forced to abandon his ship. He proceeded to describe such a catastrophe so casually, his tone of voice almost lacked emotion.
My initial instinct was to welcome him in and cater for him like I would any other stranger who had been shipwrecked, but it soon became more than that. It felt right; it was fate.
